Whoooooops

So it turns out that it is a bit more difficult than I thought to record music in a house where a new baby lives. Time to devote to making music has certainly been at a premium; hence, the EP was not ready by October, or even November. We will be finishing the recording early this week and will begin mixing it this coming weekend. We also are resuming band rehearsals to prepare for our return to the stage on January 29th at Johnny Brenda's (details to come). The EP will be ready for the new year and our show. I think it is worth the wait. This one is close to our hearts.

Fall EP

Things are going nicely with the recording of our 2009 fall EP. We'll be recording vocals starting this weekend and then mixing in the next few weeks. On track to be available by the end of October or thereabouts. I'll be posting a new song from it soon. We're also in the process of revamping our website. Recording

The gear is set up in the rock garage, the songs are ready, and we start recording tonight on our new EP. Pretty excited. There will be 5 or 6 songs on this and we're going to be giving it away to you because we like you very much. Songs are proving to be the strongest we've ever done. Should be available by October unless some label hears them, falls in love with us, and decides to make us famous with a four-month marketing plan. So yeah, you'll have it in October.

Well hello. I guess we'll make some more music.

Hello friends...

It has been a strange and difficult and happy summer so far. We've been out of touch because there has been a lot going on in our personal lives. Won't get into it all here, but Kris and Mike are now parents of a beautiful baby boy named Alex Owen Kennedy! He was born quite early, so he has to stay in the hospital until at least late August.

Which means that Audible has just a little bit more free time than expected this summer. To celebrate, we're working on recording a new EP of 5 songs to follow up our recent full-length In Simple Intervals. It will be available this fall. More info to follow. We also are working on getting a proper website up so you can see/hear/purchase physical copies (does anyone use these anymore) of the albums, plus our sweet new shirts. If you want.

Also want to send a shout out to the Swedish "house" "music" "producer" who goes by the name Audible and has been clogging up our iTunes page recently with ten thousand remixes of his three songs. Hello!

Come Together

Yo Dudes. Join us at Liberty Lands Park in Northern Liberties Sunday, June 6th. We'll be playing at the annual, semi-annual? music festival.

It should be a great day - it is also the debut of the the park's new landscaping. The new design will help with storm water run-off. The Spirit paper said it's a "project that has involved building a stage and a rain garden, which is a small, pond-like depression that will catch rain water and hold it for a few hours, allowing it to sink into the four new cisterns under Liberty Lands."

Sounds pretty cool. Also, don't forget: refillable beers all day! Word.

Great news! We've booked our mastering session and are moving forward with our plans to release our new full-length album "In Simple Intervals." On track for a late May release! We also are planning on recording an ep for release in the fall to make up for our lollygagging. Stay tuned for more details.

We would like to announce a very special upcoming release. No, not our new album "In Simple Intervals," which is coming out in April or May, we swear.

No, this release will actually be taking less time to produce than our album did. A mere nine months, in fact. Yes: Kris and Mike are with child. Or should we say childs. We got twins coming, friends. Never let it be said that we are underachievers.

We'll be playing a few shows before circumstances dictate our next move. Stay tuned.
