Saturdee Nite!
Come to our show this weekend at JB's. It's sure to please. Headlining is the always awesome Photon Band. And Brown Recluse Sings opens. We're excited to play - we have a new song and one very old one has been resurrected... Mary

A Sort of Homecoming
Jim and Mike haven't played in a show in their old home town in quite possibly a decade. This will all change Friday, November 7, when Audible take the very unlikely step of loading up the van and driving to The Cherrywood in Clementon, NJ to play a show with fellow Philly bands Grammar Debate!, Beloved Infidels, and Happy Accident. Folks, this is a liquor store with a rock club INSIDE of it. This is either going to be a great idea or a terrible one. Who knows how our Jersey brethren will take to a bunch of Philly indie rock bands? Judging by the list of past acts to play the 'Wood (Acts of Violence, Flesh Engine, DVS) we are going to need all the help we can get. Please join us.

This is Not Our New Band Picture
Yes, we need a new band photo. In the meantime I thought I'd post this awesome picture from 2003. Do you think Jim is going to kill me for posting this? Ha ha ha - I can't stop laughing. We were so young and cute - and pudgy. I guess we shouldn't try to take our own photos. Our favorite fan Jeremy is going to try to help us this October with real photos. If you have any ideas post a comment and let us know! A pumpkin patch? Railroad ties?...

Happy Labor Day
Hello! This is Mary. I have to say the show the other night was so much fun. I had had about 4 hours of sleep that week so I was surprised it went OK. (I had been negotiating the sale of my home to a squirrel family who thought they'd just move right in. I declined the offer.)
I thought I'd post this cute picture of my keyboard which is waiting for Mike's return. He is testing his strength on a week-long tour of bands. One band per night. He's played a show with Bitter Bitter Weeks, the Future Tips, and two shows with Relay all this week. (Actually the 2nd show with Relay is tonight at JB's.) He is crazy. But he loves it.
Anyway we are continuing to write songs so we have a slew of them soon after our new record comes out. We also have more shows coming up which we will post here soon. I hope you have a great Labor Day!!

Now a Rock Show
We're playing at JBs this saturday night (august 23) and it would be so nice to see you. Joining us will be the always wonderful Buried Beds and a band that is new to us: Missing Palmer West. As this group features Scott Jefferson from the Bigger Lovers we have no doubt that it will be sweet pop of the finest construction.
This will be the first show of an accidental residency at JBs for Mike, as he will be performing there Thursday the 28th with the Future Tips and Saturday the 30th as the guest drummer for Relay.

Polvo de la Escoba
Hi there. Check out the latest edition (No. 060) of the City Paper's Local Support podcast for a brand new track from our upcoming album! The song is called "Dust From a Broom" and it leads off the podcast and it is a rock and roll song. Thanks to our pal Jon Solomon for playing the song!

Well hello. It is nice to see you again.
This might be the 75th time I've typed out a message stating that Audible is finally ready to emerge from our long, quiet hibernation and start making a delicate racket, but this time I mean it. Really. Our album is done. Honestly. Kris and Mary won't let me touch it. They've hidden the hard drives. It is DONE. It has ten or so songs and it is being called "In Simple Intervals" which means something to me but I am not going to tell you what.
We recorded these songs at home in the smallest room I could find.
This is our new website for now. This bloggy format will make it easier for us to post stuff, such as pictures, music, and late night ramblings about low frequency oscillators.
Hopefully over the next few weeks we will know more about when and where this long suffering album will be released. It's been so long since we put some music out, I am not even sure what "releasing" an album is anymore. Perhaps we'll just scatter those ones and zeros into the air like confetti and see where they land. I can tell you that we'll be putting up some tracks over the next few weeks because I am anxious to hear what people think of this thing.
Kris has dug her manager/booker hat out of a dusty closet attic and has started to set up some shows for the fall. We may be sleeping on your floor very soon.
Stay tuned. Rest in peace, CT.
